Rape - Masculine Angle

It seems we've marked out today to talk about rape cases. Like we know rape is having carnal knowledge of one without one's consent. Once rape is mentioned the victims that comes to mind are the ladies. Well this post is centered on male victims of rape.

Shocking gang rape in dirty office When a man complains of being raped he is often made fun of and dismissed as a joker whose sole aim is to gain attention. We forget that men get raped, little boys also gets raped. Little boys sometimes gets violated sexually by ladies or even by older men. We hear of cases where a little boy is violated by their house-help or aunties or cousins. The problem is that nobody tends to take them seriously as they take female rape cases. When a female is raped she MOST times (emphasis on most cause it is not always the case) withdraws into her shell and sees men as evil, some even turn lesbians for fear of men. Whereas when a young boy is constantly raped he OFTENTIMES (emphasis on oftentimes as it may not always be the case) gets addicted to sex when he gets older, he gets promiscuous and always has dis urge to have sex. While people sympathize wit young boys the grown raped men gets no love or pity 4rm people as he is often accused of liking it if not that he wouldn't have had and maintained an erection. Late last year a man came to court with a case of being raped by numerous women who threatened to kill him with dangerous objects if he didn't comply. The court made a mockery of him and dismissed him saying how impossible it was. He got no justice and had to live with the psychological trauma (yes we guys have psychological traumas too, it's not only peculiar to only girls). Another case I read about happened in South Africa, where a man was raped at gun point, was rubbed a cream made solely to make a man retain his erection for hours, and raped him continually for hours without protection till he passed out. He was later confirmed to have gotten HIV from those ladies. I recently heard a story of a young boy raped to death by some girls funny thing is his sister joined in raping him, according to them the boy was too handsome.

When a man is raped the reaction you get from people is, "that serves him right", "maybe he got raped by angry ex-girlfriends", "the guy na D'banj wey do go rape"? "Make he talk true wetin he go do", "God is paying him back for his bad deeds". Some guys would say, "dat guy na idiot, wetin person dey luk 4 he dey complain, d guy weak joor". U see no sympathy and no love 4 a male rape victim. As we fight against rape, let's include men also because we too are fragile *rolling my eyes* at least some of us. Should we also blame the men for dressing indecently? SAY NO TO RAPE

Sources close to the couple told me that they are somehow back together and seriously working on their relationship. Yvonne and Iyanya had a heart to heart talk while Iyanya was in Ghana over the holidays. The Ghanaian actress was later seen dropping Iyanya off at the airport in her car.

The sexy stars started dating in July 2012 but ended their relationship in November after Yvonne accused the Kukere crooner of cheating on her with another actress.

"They are talking on the phone everyday but things are not entirely in place as Yvonne's friends are advising her not to go back to him because of how much he hurt her the last time' The source revealed to me.

Iyanya currently has Yvonne Nelson's photo as his display picture on his BB. (As seen above...taken 8:51 this evening). Detective Linda signing out! Hehe!

2 pastors jailed ten years over N1 billion deposit scam

2 pastors jailed ten years over N1 billion deposit scam:
Pastor Glory Abrefera and Rev Vincent Okpogo
Culled from PM News

A Nigerian High Court has sentenced two ‘men of God’, Pastor Glory
Abrefera and Reverend Vincent Okpogo to 10 years imprisonment each
over a N1 billion deposit scam.
Justice Ibrahim Buba of the
Federal High Court in Asaba, capital of Delta state, found the duo and
their company, Mustard Seed Micro Investment Limited guilty on a four
count charge of carrying out banking practice without licence.
The
accused persons were said to have collected over N1 billion from
different individuals and organizations as deposits in an illegal
banking practice.

They have also failed to account for all the deposits they collected.

Mustard
Seed Micro Investment Limited was convicted on two counts and fined N2
million on each of the counts. Pastor Abrefera and Reverend Okpogo, both
directors of Mustard Seed Micro Investment limited, were also convicted
on two counts and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment each.

They were equally fined N2 million on each of the counts.

The terms are to run concurrently.

The
accused persons were said to have sometimes between 2006 and 2007 at
Warri, Delta State engaged in banking practice without the required
banking license and thereby committed an offence contrary to section
2(2) of the Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act, Cap B3, Vol 2,
Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.

Part of the charge reads:

“that Pastor Glory Okeoghene Abrefera, Reverend Vincent Okpogo
and Mrs Nonye Abrefera (still at large) whilst being directors of
Mustard Seed Micro Investment Limited sometime between 2006 and 2007 at
Warri, Delta State within the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court
knowingly consented to the carrying on of banking business without a
valid licence by the company thereby committed an offence contrary to
Section (2) and 49(1)of the Banks and other Financial Institutions Act
Cap B(3), Vol 2, laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004”.

The
so-called men of God were arrested following a petition filed by some of
the depositors to the EFCC, detailing the dubious activities of the
accused persons.

The EFCC subsequently intervened, investigated the activities of the voodoo bank and arraigned the suspects in 2011.

Counsel to EFCC, G. K. Latona described the judgment as a milestone in the Nigerian judiciary.

He said it was the first time that persons were convicted for carrying out banking practice without the required licence.

He said the judgment would serve as a deterrent to other persons engaging in such nefarious activities

I heard that a man named Princewill Ojukwu reported the popular Nigerian Producer Don Jazzy to the police for allegedly ordering his thugs to give him the beatings of his life. Hmmm..... we are still waiting for Don Jazzy to come and explain his side of the story.

'' Its not about the money, this could happen to anyone, it is abuse of power and needs to be checked before someone is killed all in the name of the other being a celebrity. Don Jazzy stood there pinging on his blackberry as his thugs beat me up, that is the last thing I remember before I fainted..''

Omawumi, Iyanya, Banky W And Sound Sultan Unveils Their New Year Plans.

Omawumi, Iyanya, Banky W And Sound Sultan Unveils Their New Year Plans.:

Nigerian musicians reveal their new year plans and I realized how much importance they place on God, which is a wonderful thing. Also the nationalism spirit, the quest for the progress of Nigeria is a paramount thing to them. Don't just read theirs, share your's as well. Smiling.........

Omawumi

"My plan and vision for this year is for Nigeria to be a country where talent is adequately rewarded. A Nigeria where structures are in place to allow media and entertainment to strive and be properly monetized and where the rewards go to those that deserve it. I see great success achieved. I have plans to release more hits this year".
Iyanya

"I am happy to witness a new year. I pray for divine mercy, protection and guidance. I pray that God will bring peace, unity and oneness in Nigeria. I have asked God to help me forsake my old ways. I don't want to mention them. I want a new identity. I want a career boost".
Banky W.

"My vision for this year is simple. I want my country to see the end of corruption. And destruction should come upon every enemy of my dear country. I also intend to operate in God's economy and not Nigeria's Economy. I will have plenty to save and enough to complete my projects".
Sound Sultan

"My new year resolution is same as last years. Mine is never to have a new year resolution. But I pray for God's favor and blessings. I'm also praying for God's direction because without him I can do nothing. Last year God was good to me and my household. My career was favored, I didn't really have time to serve God as much as I wanted last year. Therefore, I've resolved this year, that these will change. I will serve God more and put more effort in my studies".
